Saying that Catherine Powell is a hard worker is definitely an understatement. Between running back and forth all over the tri state area to cover features for her webzine, Naked, and being a full time student at the School of Visual Arts, it’s amazing that she finds even a small amount of time for herself or sleeping. Catherine runs one of the most diverse webzines around, featuring everything from Nickelodeon stars to post hardcore bands. That being said, Catherine is definitely a key face behind the thriving music scene that we have today.
Why she’s badass: She’s been working her way to the top since she was 14! Now she’s 19 and is one of the most known names in entertainment photography. She’s definitely a prime example that hard work truly pays off.

The Living Louder crew had the opportunity to sit down and talk with Mike Ziemer from Third String Productions, Evolve Management and The Phoenix Agency right before his most successful production yet (we all attest to), South By So What?! 2013. Check it out below:

In the second part of the interview, they discuss the “accessibility of artists” by fans and how hip-hop influences their new sound. Watch both parts below!
